Visitors to Theodore Roosevelt National Park have many options to help them discover and enjoy the beauty of the badlands. Initially the landscape may appear inhospitable and desolate, but a closer look will reveal panoramic vistas and a bounty of plant and animal life. The park is divided into three units; all offering wonderful opportunities. The park has three visitor centers: one at the South Unit entrance in Medora, one at Painted Canyon on I-94, and one at the entrance to the North Unit just off HWY 85.
