Prairie Pete's Profile
Full Name Peter Prairie Dog
Nickname Prairie Pete
Birthday May 12, 2009
Hometown Johnson’s Plateau near Skyline Vista, Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Favorite Hangout Near the big tree next to the loop road.
Biggest Fear One of those large bison deciding to wallow on top of me! WOW those things are huge!
Greatest Accomplishment One time I dug a hole all the way through that asphalted road that runs to my town.
Favorite Color Grass Green
Favorite Food Buffalo Grass, but Wooly Plantain is a tasty treat!
Favorite Activity I love to play watchdog and let my fellow prairie dogs know when danger is near with a yelp.  But mostly I just spend my time digging and eating.
Favorite Season The spring is my favorite because after a long cold winter of forging under the snow for food, basically starving, the green grass is a welcome indulgence.
Favorite Quote "We Dig It!"
Most Annoying Behavior All those other animals (Burrowing Owls, Snakes, Badgers, etc) that are too darn lazy to dig their own holes and move into mine.  And let’s not forget the coyotes and eagles that are trying to eat me!  Oh yeah and those crazy people that have those black things that flash stuck to their faces.
Favorite Celebrity

Punxsutawney Phil, (However I could be just as popular if people would just visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park on February 2nd.)

New Fave - Smoky Bear!

When I grow up I want to be... A weatherman, because I am great at predicting the weather.  Or maybe a newsman because I know all the hot gossip!

Hi, I'm Peter P. Dog, but my friends call me Prairie Pete. I am a prairie dog in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. My friends who work at the park and I were chatting one day and came up with a great plan. Since I LOVE to talk and travel I decided I should start this webpage to meet new people and to teach them about everything that happens in the park. In other words I will be your inside man, the guy that goes behind the scenes and tells you the real deal.
So what do you think? Sound interesting? If you want to follow my travels please check back often!

Pete Continues to spend many hours getting his page up and running!

Disclaimer: Although Prairie Dogs have a complex communication system amongst themselves, they do not communicate with humans. They also do not travel throughout large areas. They usually remain within their colony. Peter. P. Dog was created strictly for entertainment purposes and as a way to share some of the parks hidden treasures with our viewers.
